Facebook for Business, la nueva apuesta de la red social por las empresas

La compañía de Mark Zuckerberg se adelanta a Google y su recién estrenada Google+ creando un nuevo espacio en el que las empresas sí tienen cabida y una serie de recursos a su alcance para promocionar su negocio.

Ante la éxitosa llegada de Google+, que ya cuenta con 20 millones de usuarios, Facebook ha decidido ‘ponerse las pilas’. Concretamente, la red social ha creado una nueva web, a la que han bautizado como ‘Facebook for Business’, en la que ofrecen a las empresas las herramientas necesarias para que puedan mejorar su experiencia en Facebook.

Facebook aprovecha así el inconveniente de Google+, que aún no permite que las empresas tengan su propio perfil, al considerar que las condiciones de la red no son las adecuadas por el momento. No obstante, la compañía afirma “seguir trabajando en ello”.

Tal y como se puede ver en ‘Facebook for Business’, la web cuenta con varios apartados: páginas, anuncios, historias patrocinadas y plataforma. Gracias a estas cuatro funciones que la red propone, las empresas podrán gestionar y publicitar su negocio en la red social.

“Los dueños de negocios pueden aprender las mejores prácticas para la creación de una página yatraer a sus clientes hacia una conversación bidireccional para responder a las preguntas, obtener información valiosa y para llegar a sus amigos”, explica un portavoz de la compañía de Mark Zuckerberg en InformationWeek.

Is your LinkedIn account mostly sitting idle? You can do so much more with it than simply look up contacts: find gigs, sell products, expand your networks, grow your business and gain free publicity.
Here are 33 ways to use LinkedIn more effectively.
  1. Fill out your profile completely to earn trust.
  2. Use widgets to integrate other tools, such as importing your blog entries or Twitter stream into your profile.
  3. Do market research and gain knowledge with Polls.
  4. Share survey and poll results with your contacts.
  5. Answer questions in Questions and Answers: show expertise without a hint of self-promotion.
